Alistair Southern is the Founder of Cerro. He is an executive performance coach, and qualified lawyer, specializing in the delivery of bespoke coaching services for professionals.
Offering a valuable combination of psychological and professional expertise, his diverse experience is thoughtfully and powerfully combined with natural qualities of calmness, curiosity and a quiet confidence, generating exceptional results for his clients.
His clients range from senior equity partners and managing directors in international law firms and global investment banks, to CEOs, C-suite executives and entrepreneurs in the technology, financial services, media and retail sectors. Alistair is proud to offer pro-bono services to humanitarian leaders through his membership of the U.N’s Humanitarian Coaching Network, and to marketing leaders via the Marketing Academy’s EMEA and U.S Fellowship programmes.
Alistair’s professional career started in London with the Magic Circle law firm, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he gained extensive experience advising on matters of corporate, regulatory and environmental law across a range of industries. A keen interest in politics and public policy led him to join the U.K. Government where, as a senior legal adviser, he counselled civil servants, Ministers and Secretaries of State on matters of commercial, finance and energy law.
Alistair holds an MSc in psychology, alongside numerous certifications from leading talent development organisations such as Hogan, TMBC, ORSC, CTI and the AoEC. He wrote his thesis on the impacts of executive coaching for lawyers and is accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF), having trained and practiced as an executive performance coach in both the U.K. and the U.S.
He currently divides his time between London and New York.
